Lost Property

We have a lot of Lost Property that we want to return to its rightful owners. This includes items of clothing, purple polka-dot glasses, tobacco pouches, purses (still containing money), a camera, and even pirate masks.

If you have something that you need back urgently, please email me . At some point next week or so I’ll make a list to stick up here and you can look and see what’s yours.

We also still have a camera from 2013′s festival that we don’t know what to do with! Let me know if it’s yours.

Thanks!

What a fantastic weekend!

Thank you so much to everyone involved. It was an amazing weekend and all of the feedback we’ve had so far has been fantastic. And the rain even held until the last couple of acts. We’ve had a few days of soggy packing up, but it was worth it!

If you have feedback for us please email

Purbeck Rising – the votes have been counted

With the wonders of modern technology and the workings of Facebook, it didn’t take long to count the votes for Purbeck Rising. But we do have the official results. The voting finished at midday on Friday and the 5 finalists (to be joined by 2 fast-trackers) are:
Penny Churchill
Kelly Oliver
Aidan Byrne
Kimari Raven
The Coach House Company

Congratulations and we’ll see you at the live final on the Saturday of Purbeck Folk Festival where there’ll be a panel of judges and an audience vote t find our 2014 winner.

Meditation / healing update

We’ve had a little bit of yoga and meditation before, but last year was the first time that meditation had its own little area out in the woods. This year there’s more than ever with yoga, pilates, meditation, laughter yoga, and Ali Sharpe’s synergy sound circle. We’re going to be so relaxed – I hope we can stay away for the music!

Song session themes announced

We were amazed at the turn out for song sessions last year – at one point there were 70 people crammed in, raising the roof of the little Duck Shed.
So Richard will be back in the Duck Shed this year to brighten up our Saturday and Sunday mornings. So the themes are:
Saturday – Workers Songs – Songs of on the sea and under the ground
Sunday – Songs of Counties or Towns (Dorset Songs preferred of course!)
